DEXX was drained for $21M after private keys for 12,413 wallets were compromised. MoonHacker lost $320K by failing to validate mToken calls in its vault contract, letting attackers inject malicious tokens. Clipper suffered a $458K hit as low-liquidity pools on Optimism and Base enabled profitable price manipulation.
In Brief
MoonHacker’s access control vulnerability resulted in a $320K loss.
Clipper suffered a $458K price manipulation attack.
On December 23rd, the MoonHacker exploit on Optimism resulted in a $320K loss. The root cause was missing access control in the executeOperation() function of the MoonHacker vault contract. This function facilitates operations like supplying, borrowing, and redeeming tokens by interacting with mToken contracts, representing lending market assets in Moonwell’s ecosystem. However, the mToken parameter was not validated to ensure it belonged to a legitimate Moonwell market, and the function lacked restrictions on who could call it. The attacker was able to feed a malicious contract as the mToken address to drain the vault.

On December 1st, the Clipper exploit on the Optimism and Base networks resulted in a $458K loss. The attacker targeted Clipper pools with low balances and low constant product (k) values and manipulated the pool’s state to withdraw more assets than deposited. The low liquidity in Optimism and Base pools allowed minor swaps to significantly affect the pool’s price ratios. This imbalance increased the value of tokens during withdrawals.

On November 16th, the DEXX exploit on Solana, Ethereum, Base, and BSC resulted in a $21M loss. The root cause was a private key leak that compromised user wallets and enabled unauthorized transactions. The attack compromised 8,338 Solana addresses and 4,075 ETH, Base, BSC addresses. The DEXX team has acknowledged the exploit and offered to allocate 80% of daily platform revenue to reimburse affected users.
The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.
A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!
Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.

Huobi | Amount Lost: $8M
On September 24th, the Huobi Global exploit on the Ethereum Mainnet resulted in a $8 million loss due to the compromise of private keys. The attacker executed the attack in a single transaction by sending 4,999 ETH to a malicious contract. The attacker then created a second malicious contract and transferred 1,001 ETH to this new contract. Huobi has since confirmed that they have identified the attacker and has extended an offer of a 5% white hat bounty reward if the funds are returned to the exchange.
