DeltaPrime, Caterpillar Coin, and Bankroll Network Lose $7.6M in Key Compromise, Price Manipulation, and Input Validation Flaws
DeltaPrime suffered a $6M loss after an admin key compromise led to malicious proxy upgrades. Caterpillar Coin lost $1.4M in a flash loan-based price manipulation. Bankroll Network was drained for $230K after an input validation flaw let an attacker inflate profitPerShare_ and extract unbacked dividends.
In Brief
Bankroll Network lost $230K due to a lack of input verification.
DeltaPrime was exploited for $6M due to a private key compromise.
Caterpillar Coin was targeted in a $1.4M price manipulation attack.
Hacks Analysis
Bankroll Network | Amount Lost: $230K
On September 23rd, the Bankroll Network exploit on the BNB Chain resulted in a $230K loss. The root cause of the exploit was the buyFor() function, which allowed the attacker to manipulate the contract by setting the _customerAddress to the contract’s own address. This flaw enabled the attacker to inflate the profitPerShare_ variable without sending any WBNB tokens. By repeatedly calling the function, the attacker artificially increased dividends and withdrew a large amount of WBNB.

On September 16th, the DeltaPrime exploit on Arbitrum Chain resulted in a $6M loss. The root cause of the exploit was the compromise of the admin’s private key. The attacker used this compromised key to upgrade DeltaPrime’s proxy contracts to malicious versions. The attacker upgraded five proxy contracts and drained $6M in multiple transactions. The DeltaPrime team acknowledged the incident.

On September 10th, the Caterpillar Coin exploit on BNB Chain resulted in a $1.4M loss due to a price manipulation vulnerability. The attacker used a flash loan to borrow USDT, then repeatedly added and removed liquidity from the CUT token pair, earning rewards based on inflated CUT token values. The attacker manipulated the price of CUT tokens by executing swaps and burning CAKE-LP tokens, reducing the total supply and artificially increasing the token price. This allowed them to drain a large amount of USDT from the liquidity pool.

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.
A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!
Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.

Huobi | Amount Lost: $8M
On September 24th, the Huobi Global exploit on the Ethereum Mainnet resulted in a $8 million loss due to the compromise of private keys. The attacker executed the attack in a single transaction by sending 4,999 ETH to a malicious contract. The attacker then created a second malicious contract and transferred 1,001 ETH to this new contract. Huobi has since confirmed that they have identified the attacker and has extended an offer of a 5% white hat bounty reward if the funds are returned to the exchange.
